Babble by Orrin Jason Bradford
Bobbie is a teen, he seems to be autistic and non-verbal. He makes beautiful, intricate towers with discarded items he finds. What could these towers possibly mean?
He and his mom, Angie, are on the run, being hunted by the government, people from a religious group, and private contractors. Bobbie is caught between his mom, who would go to any end to keep him safe, and the people and groups who would use him for their own endeavors.
What is it about Bobbie that has all of these people after he and his mom? He babbles. Is he really babbling, or is he speaking in tongues, a secret language, or just gibberish?
This book weaves suspense and drama seamlessly to take you on a wild ride with a mom and son, and those who would do them harm. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely recommend it.
