Quinn and her dad have relocated to Kettle Springs, MO after her mother’s suicide, in Philadelphia.
Kettle Springs high school is a typical high school in the rural US. The town seems to be like any other town, just surrounded by cornfields, and with a clown as a town mascot.
Quinn quickly finds herself befriending a group of students who are notorious for their online social media presence.
Things start going awry at a festival, and things continue to slide sideways from there.
I kept trying to guess who the culprit was, but couldn’t figure it out. By the time I did, things were falling into place.
This story is weaved together seamlessly. I could relate to all of the characters. The build-up was phenomenal. This was a 5 star read, through and through.
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator, Jesse Vilinsky, puts so much emotion into each character. What an amazing 5-star performance!
