By Dylan Colón
From the first page, I felt as though I'd been transported back to high school. I understand, all too well, the experiences of Corey, Vic, and even Eli (although I don't like his treatment of Becca).
Corey is being verbally abused at home, he has no friends, and after he gets attacked in the locker room, he's forced to switch schools. He seems invisible to the kids at the new school. That is, until one day, someone compliments his shirt. Has he finally found a friend?
This tome spoke to me on so many levels. I felt, seen, heard, and understood, for once.
I firmly believe that everyone can benefit from reading this book, especially those of us who spent high school as an outcast.
