Seraphim

By Leslie Swartz

Wyatt's life is falling apart. He's schizophrenic, has been fired from his job as a firefighter, his wife left him, he hasn’t spoken to his dad in ten years, and the voice in his head is getting louder. He’s on various meds to keep the voices at bay, but they’re not working.

The voice in his head keeps asking where he is. His therapist thinks he should answer the voice. What’s the worst that could happen?

Wyatt discovers he’s the incarnation of Barrachiel, a guardian angel. He discovers he has siblings, other guardian angels who also inhabit human bodies here on earth.

Together, they must work with Lucifer, who’s a decent person, And the queen of vampires, to stop an ancient enemy from closing the gate between heaven and earth, causing countless deaths and the enslavement of all humans.

While reading this, I laughed, I felt sad, there were a few spots that shocked me. Overall, I enjoyed the story. I could definitely relate to the characters and their struggle.

I believe this is the author’s first book. Just a bit of constructive feedback.

"xyz” said/said/responded/etc. Isn’t always needed.

Lucifer looked directly at so and so, “Why yes, I would like a beer.”

Wyatt raised an eyebrow, “What do you mean?”

Overall, I enjoyed this book, and will definitely be recommending it.
